I know that retail dosent use mpq files, but it will still load custom soundfiles when you create a folder in
\World of Warcraft\_classic_\Sound\Character\Human\HumanVocalMale
and put the modified HumanMaleCheer01.wav in there for example

the last time folder patches worked it was 7.2 and you needed a modified exe
