I'm trying to develop a spell, that has a spell trigger when u use it, the spell that triggers I want to have 5% or so chance to apply, so I tried to go to that spell and set the proc chance to 5%, however becuz the main spell is set to trigger it, it triggers 100% of the time, how can I resolve this issue in wow spell editor?

You probably forgot to settup ProcFlags in spell.dbc thats why it isnt responding to the proc chance.

Well thats not the issue, like proc chance works normally, it's only becuz I have one spell triggering it, so it's automatically making it trigger dispite their being a chance to trigger it.

I dont get it then, its always two spells, where one is the triggerer, where is settled every exceptions about when or how it can proc the second spell which does the stuff like stat boost or so, are you sure you setting the proc chance to the the spell which is the triggerer not the spell which should trigger right? Also I dont think that it can properly work without setting correct procflags either in spell.dbc/spell_proc_event table in DB, just so you know if its default zero value in procflags then it make sense thats its either proccing always or never.

Okay it's like this.

You know the ability Arcane Blast?

Well when you use arcane blast it adds an ability called 'arcane blast' as a debuff, this is another spell, so the first arcane blast has to have on effect 2 that it triggers the debuff arcane effect.

Even though I have the proc chance set to 10% on the debuff it doesn't work becuz on the arcane blast it triggers 100% and I don't know how to correct that.

What do I have to do on this to make that trigger ability on the top right have a chance of not triggering or procing.

I am afraid your not using a good example for copying a proccing spell since this spell is handled core side and every spell with classmask 0x20000000 (536870912 in your editor) will trigger the debuff, so if you just dont want the spell to proc the debuff, just set the SpellClassMask1 to 0 and you should be fine
