I've finally learned how to customize a NPC equipment (model viewer, displayinfo.dbc etc..) but I still cannot show helm, shoulder, tabard, probably because the blp textures doesn't have this information, but I can provide only 1 file blp. Do you know the cause of this problem?

You may want to look into what we call "baked" npc textures. Theyre essentially the empty model texture with armor and such already applied, the tabard falls into this. What you can do is take the base file for that NPC say a human male. Then get armor and textures and literally layer it ontop of the image.

As for the helm and shoulder it depends on a few things, you may need to set attachment points if they are not present already. If they are, you need to assign these items in CreatureDisplayInfoExtra (You CANNOT use bakednpc textures with DisplayInfoExtra, this is because the reference for NPCs with extra data usually have the "bakename" CreatureDisplayExtra-12345.blp, a file which may or may not exist in your files, if it doesnt exist, it uses displayinfoextra to generate the texture)

Oh, I think the problem is there are not attachment points. I "baked" my texture and added to the proper folder in the mpq, but there is no tabard, cape or helm... to be precise, if I put the tabard, I only have the upper part, which appears in the baked texture

Is the blp not necessary? Without it I got a green model Big Grin

Youll need *something* in that "bakename" section.
Youll want to assign the creature an extraid in CreatureDsiplayInfo
In DisplayInfo you need to assign textures for the model by GEOSET 1/2/3 etc.
If you want to apply whatever armor etc. you want use the bakename "CreatureDisplayExtra-00000.blp" and replace the numbers with the extraid you chose for the NPC

Then go into DisplayInfoExtra and add your gear there, you need the ItemDisplayInfo entry for these fields

Like i said with thexe baked textures, you can layer the tabard on top of the image to produce the tabard

Otherwise you shouldnt have a bake-name texture FILE, for some creatures there is no bake texture or it shows one of two things:
18278e0y9hc10n2uhfa9.blp (This file is likely "real")
CreatureDisplayExtra-16284.blp (This file likely is *NOT* real, and it is "generating" the bake texture using information from entry 16284 in CreatureDisplayInfoExtra) That being said is *is* possible to make a file "CreatureDisplayExtra-16284.blp" and drop it into the bakednpctextures folder and it will work, otherwise the file MUST not exist or it wont work like you want
