Sadly I don't have access to my 3.3.5 IDB, but it's not hard to make one from existing one

i can't tell from the exception alone what that is, but i have tools in the wbs plugin for analyzing the converted m2 to identify what actually changes in the model. I can't grab it right now, but i can come back at latest tomorrow to show you how to use it

bear.m2 is simple enough that i think it shouldn't be too bad, just don't have the plugin loaded at the moment

I've noticed that the alias animations are fucked up though and completely frozen, could be that, haven't tried fixing them yet

i think the command is called "test m2", which will import and export the m2 and write a json file that describes the logical differences between them rather than bytewise

btw somethnig I've noticed is that your code writes animations by looping objects/bones references to that animation in WBS, but the way blizz writes animations is not like that, they always have as many timestamps/values as the number of total animations for all bones, not just if the bone is used by the anim

that does not sound right to me at all, you do want the ability to have bones act independently of each others and referencing different keyframes, and i'm pretty sure there are blizzard models that do that, but it's been a while now so my memory isn't too fresh
