So dbcs added to server files, and I added the generated patch. I'll double check the patch file when I get a chance because I actually didn't look at it yet. I did add a custom class and tried setting the spell to the class in terms of spell family stuff so idk if that maybe it?

You don't need that DBC for it to appear in the skill book, just if you want it in a category

I made a spell that is a copy of heroic strike with some minor changes. Only major change was spellnameflag from 4 for warrior to 15 for deathknight because I added a deathknight class into vanilla to experiment and learn. I'll try seeing if it'll work if I change it to 4

in that case i probably did the spell.dbc format to spell_template format wrong. i'll take a gander
