quests at those levels weren't at all made for that slope, and when you tighten a second-degree polynomial you also increase the "rate of change" in a way the game likely wasn't designed for

the "jumps" at level 70 and 80 was kind of what allowed that transition to be smooth, because the exp rewards and quest designs were changed to accommodate it

if all you want to do is slow down the time spent on each level, you can try adding a power of 1 term since it doesn't increase the rate of change
