Noggit Red is a community project that have done quite a bit of work in regards to quality of life improvements and performance.

I don't personally use Noggit as I don't develop content for emulators, but as far as my knowledge goes, I'm not sure why you would pick regular Noggit over Noggit Red unless there are some things that don't work or is broken in red.

It was a private paid-for fork for a while, ideally the Red changes would be merged into the original repo

Red has some broken features but also completely new features where as normal noggit is more stable but misses the cool features.
