the game client can read them because they're hashes, so the client hashes any filename it wants to grab and asks for that

if you want to read unlisted mpqs you need to generate a listfile, and you'll need to learn how to do it on your own. most people are not willing to give out that information freely since most people protect their own mpqs as well
