Hey guys, quick question. I've yet to try this yet but I just want to see if it's possible or if there are any tricks beforehand. If I want to make a custom spell with an .m2 but I don't want to edit the original M2, is it possible to copy it and change the name in 010 to make it a "new" M2 or are there more steps to copying?

there is a "name" field inside the m2 that you might want to change but i'm pretty sure it's ignored by the client anyways. Just copy your m2+skin file and rename them to match and it should work

if it somehow doesn't (someone else can verify this), just change the name

of course, you'll then need to reference the new model in your new spell in dbc etc
