if i download files from forum i just use the mpq thing unpack them repack with the files i want.

Only issue i see if the things has same name u might need to change names

open up one of the archives in mpqeditor (http://www.zezula.net/en/mpq/download.html), extract all the files from it into a folder, then open up the other archive and drag in all the extracted files into it. MPQ works like zip-files

but if you mean you want two versions of the exact same model at the same time, that's not possible
