No need to apologise for being new to this. MySQL is essentially a database that stores data that the emulator uses. The spell editor uses its own MySQL database to store the DBC data. You can view and update this data using a number of free programs (SQLyog Community Edition, Navicat, HediSQL, etc). You need to convert the data in the spell editor database into your emulator database.

Most of the major cores have great wikis that are step by step Building the core from "scratch" should probably only take an hour at most, gives you a better understanding of what does what, and means you can easily update things in future.

You can convert data using a query like posted in the Github issue. It is mapping all the columns from 1 table of data into another. Google will help with a lot of MySQL questions
