We have 4 devs using it now and the pace of development has been very rapid

i think one of hte primary benefits is that instead of having 912839128 tutorials, it's very easy to serialize knowledge into a code snippet that you can just send

This is what I'm looking to do, so perhaps you can help me make a somewhat unbiased (I trust you, you've helped me so much <3) choice:
1. add prefixes to items (wow only uses suffixes "of the bear" which is pretty weird). It might prove somewhat complex to have items get prefixes and suffixes at the same time, but who knows.
2. add spells to items. Not spells as in trinkets with use effects, but actually teaching you "mortal strike" if you equip "unstoppable force" etc (and unlearning the spell if you unequip the item)
3. Add custom professions but based on old ones (like archeology would just be random piles of dirt instead of copper ore, requiring brushes instead of pick axes, and still just give you 1 item like copper ore etc)

That way we wouldn't have to deal with these massive core mods

Lol, TC (and all emulators) needs to be rewritten from the ground up to get any resemblance of an API. That shit is the definition of spaghetti code, and I hate that expression.
