Is there any kind of tutorial for this? I don't think I've ever used visual studio to run anything and I kind of feel like I'm just messing stuff more up

Like, this is my server folder (where I normally run things from) and I'm guessing I shouldn't have put the worldserver exe and pdb in here

This is legitimately a thousand times harder than any kind of c# coding I've ever done (even in visual studio!) for my unity game

it's what java promised to fix, but never quite did and .NET finally perfected it

After debugging in vs I tried to change it to release and then go build -> build solution. It didn't work, but because it said it succeeded with 1 I held out a tiny bit of hope.
Needless to say, worldserver just crashed again with "Assertion message:
C:\Trinity\TrinityCore Source\src\server\game\Globals\ObjectMgr.cpp:1011 in ObjectMgr::CheckCreatureTemplate ABORTED.
Fault address: 00007FF6714B9533 01:0000000000F08533 C:\Trinity\Server\worldserver.exe"
At this point I'm completely broken lol, it's obvious I'm in way over my head

debugging a core is a bit tricky, i don't even remember the exact steps on windows, but i think it works if you change the startup project to "worldserver" and try running it with `F5`

I tried that (I right clicked worldserver and set it as startup project) and clicked f5.
My computer almost exploded and I can a system error - rough translation: "the program code couldnt be executed because libmysql.dll couldn't be found. the problem can potentially be fixed by reinstalling the program"
