right, then you will indeed need to edit the m2 file (not the .skin file), change like one letter in the blp path (if it's hardcoded, which it almost always is for world m2s) and save your output blp to that path instead of the original

usually easy enough to just open the m2 with a hex editor and search for ".blp" and you should find it, then just change a single letter so it doesn't read the original anymore

the m2 file contains a reference to its own name inside itself, i don't know if you need to change that but i don't think so(?)
