I had this idea of turning Circle of Flame and other helms like it into a Visual Effect item you can toggle from bag so you can combine it with other helms.

Might be able to look at the paladin wings as they scale/posision on every race. Might just be its glued at the cape area though so it positions it self automatically but who knows. Might be worth looking at

btw I have looked online, checked mode-changing, looked through my error logs on the server and my client folder, I am at a loss for ideas on how adding an entry in the itemdisplayinfo.dbc could effect every character on the server other than i put that editted dbc file in the server dbc's to see the appearance

Yeah... I guess that might be worth checking out. But tbh I think something that's just behind your back is hard to look off going from race to race. I've ported wings from other expansions with same spelleffectattachment position and they look fine. Helms are more perfection required

given you are tampering with the .dbc, you might be running into one of the following
1. the ids of the itemdisplayinfo become unordered
2. you are wiping itemdisplayinfo.dbc out entirely with file corruption
