Not _quite_ sure this is actually an mmaps problem. Likely vmaps.

Something I can think of is the auto generated collision is a 1:1 copy of the mesh, while wow collision should be convex blocks

Try manually editing the collision into some rectangles like blizzlike and see if it changes anything

Blue is the collision mesh and green is just regular level geometry with collision assigned to it. They both have working LoS. For example, if you stand under the bridge which just uses mesh as collision you'll still get a LoS error
