It's its own map (gave it id 725), I only bug it up with the DisplayMap (that's the column blood elf / draenei zones use to display as if they're in ek/kalimdor) to figure out that overlays only seem to show if the ui thinks the map belongs to a continent. I assume this means my issue now is adding a custom continent that's recognized by the worldmap, but I didn't realize this when I initially made my post

but if dungeon maps could somehow display overlays (wouldn't be surprised if they couldn't since none of the blizzard ones do)

No, it's a custom map (map.dbc#725) with its `WorldMapArea#DisplayMap` set to 0, which will simulate as if it belongs to EK the same way blood elf areas do, despite being outland adts

it seems to bug out the first time you open the map (further suggesting hardcoded / buggy client or lua), but that doesn't matter too much since I only used that column to figure out this happened
