You're using the chat protocol as your transport layer injecting data into chat messages when you could use real packets that are handled using the standard opcode system. It's design more than anything else, there might be some performance gain from the threads that handle custom packets vs chat messages, and you don't need to parse strings to get the data out of the 'packet'

Not to mention you need to split addon messages into lots of 'packets' and then rejoin them client side if sending over ~250 characters
