I'm sure it will. I'd guess it is quite impossible to have a sound understanding of the project without studying the client. But I've already found relevant docs in that regard and wasn't worried. Was reading through the azerothcore's wiki and noticed two things. For once wow is never mentioned by name but it's quite obvious the project relates to it. Is that enough to keep you know who from shutting the project down?And secondly its super easy to run via docker. Has some1 ever tried running it on kubernetes?

Don't worry about Blizz shutting down your server as long as you don't earn alot of money with it (e.g. by taking a fee of the players to play)

Maybe it will be a bigger problem if you try to run a server on the current live version

A good start to learn about server stuff might be fixing issues on AzerothCore ( no ads ), the staff will be happy to help you with that
