One of the worst invisible issues with the SSL certificate thing, is that if say, you run certbot on windows 11 to generate the certificates, by default they're maintained in an appdata directory that requires admin access...and the ones stored in the C:\CertBot\live directory are actually just shortcuts to them...what ends up happening, is they can end up with some access management issues when you reboot your computer, which essentially makes them innaccessable to tc...you literally have to go in and manually change the access rights on both the shortcut, and the actual cert/key in order to fix that

and that had me really annoyed and frustrated for quite awhile...again...that's certbot's issue, not tc...but it does make it a pain

yup, and when they renew, you have to change that again if you have it set up with the default config

there was actually a whole discussion on it on a site, I think it was stackoverflow, but like a whole bunch of people talking about ways to use powershell to automatically change the access rights

Be happy that you got a patch to skip the cert stuff on local. otherwise you would need it there too
