on mac I would prefer patching the binary actually and have a valid cert. either for local stuff (which works if u install and trust them) or for external hosts

on windows u can use <https://github.com/UwuTheBoi/Game-Client-Tools> for a while now tho. just simple patching and gg. no launcher required
