you can do that in spell script target selection hooks but wouldnt it be better to just edit the target fields to do what you want? targeting hooks are mostly meant for things not fitting into standard target types

that being said, if you still want a custom grid visit, prefer one of these searchers <https://github.com/TrinityCore/TrinityCore/blob/9e9f67d6bd6dcaabbf52f5c6809ca69440736f47/src/server/game/Spells/Spell.h#L910-L982> for spell purposes (they are specific for spells and dont only check faction but also immunity flags and other)
