you can use any self signed one and install it + use it on bnet server then

To avoid pservers letting people install random certs I decided to use the --dev switch. It's not enabled by default tho

Yep. I can't reproduce that issue either. I suspect my config was busted. Can't verify anymore, since it was overwritten when I copied a fresh dist on top (it's on a netdisk without a bin). Sorry for the trouble

I think 3.4.2 also changed the cert loading stuff from a quick look in 010
