I though I read somewhere a long time ago that all NPCs in WoW are pre-rendered. However, when I import an NPC into WowModelViewer, it seems to know which gear slots the NPC got items in.
Is each equipped item on an NPC saved in some table somewhere?

the only thing that is NOT in db2 are weapons, those can be dynamically swapped and area controlled by server

It has CreatureId 87989 and DisplayId 60621. But none of them appear in Wow.Tools
