I have it running on a 1950x with relatively fast hard drives, so it doesnt seem to be a problem

Unfortunately I do not have a thread ripper cpu, it is running on a 970 EVO m.2 drive, so it should just be bottled necked by my cpu then, if you're getting 2/3 minute start up times.

It could also be network bottleneck if you're using a remote database server

I have a sneaking suspicion its database errors or something, because it takes an age and a half to get through all the database checks.
