I have lua so i think It would be easyer to do it in lua for me at least

To see performance hits, you have to measure it. If the purpose is to have quick'n'easy transmog feature, use LUA instead yeah.
Once it works, you'll see if there is performance issues and you'll have time to fix/re-implement using c++....eventually, if it's worth
