With the NPC flag you prevent that and with the SAI it applies to everyone who is within the range.

You can test it very easily: log in with 2 players, both have the quest. One player only hits it once and the other kills the NPC, then you can see whether your method works or whether my method is better. I can't say much more about it.
I have created tons of quests and I do everything with closest players who are in range and the NPC flag if necessary, so everyone can complete the quest and doesn't have to wait for the respawn.

Besides that, kill credit is shared with party. Including credit for objectives that use bunnies to work.

The player only gets the kill when the NPC is dead and not when he just hits it once at the flag.
