Fair enough- but if your looking at code- changing code- rebuilding code... you might as well pick up debugger/debugging skills to boot.

I mean, the issue in this case was that I wasn't changing code.

To be exact you said: "It was a Source code issue."
Whether that means it was something you needed to change and didn't or changed incorrectly, or just a bug some where in the code.

I needed to change a single hard-coded value. And I hadn't.

So the issue was that I wasn't changing the code I needed to.

Got ya- and then rebuild and re-run and test yes?
Debugging in VS is quite easy and very rewarding. If you *would* like to learn it- I'd recommend you just use a simple single file main.cpp, project that has some loops, some arrays, some objects, maybe a nice tic-tac-toe game, and learn on that- you'll be very glad you did- especially if your going to be poking around code with any frequency....

Yes, I fixed the issue now, as I posted in <#376073286884392970>.

Regardless, I just do not comprehend the tools. I am immediately overwhelmed pretty much the moment you put something more advanced than VS Code in front of me, and only if I ignore half the features.

I think that's pretty normal- been coding for years- but things change so fast- it's easy to get overwhelmed, (kinda why I recommended a simple project to practice on), it will allow you to pick up some new skills, without really taxing you. You know tic-tac-toe, (I assume), you know how to build and run code, just a few more steps and you could be setting breakpoints and stepping through code
