This is no lie, I did a fresh installation and everything worked right away without any errors.

the only error was that cmake had complained to me because I forgot to install the libmariadb-dev files

what if you install docker from official debian repo and get the official mysql container from the official dockerhub ? that's 3 officials right there

I doubt Open Source organizations will enjoy a private equity backed project, which is a similar reason of why MariaDB was born in the first place
