Are there any resources on how to check if a client has a certain patch when logging on to the server and restricting them if they are missing/have an out of date patch?

Many many ways you could implement this...

- Different client version
- Client <-> server check through addon messages or a new packet
- Inspecting Lua state with warden

Etc

Thanks for the reply. Is there anything available in more detail. All the concepts you listed are unfamiliar to me
