I had to make a few chars called "toomuchmoney" and "toomuchmoneytwo" as gold limit was reached quite fast

funny enough, when I would ask for gold to do enchants, people would be "brb" and go to that vendor and come back in 2 minutes

But when you hit 80 and then do all the extra northrend quests and outland quests you end up with like 20k or something

I don't usualy get epic flying until I hit 80 and do the 500+ northrend quests that are left over.

I have ah bot on my server for now too, so rogues can legit just buy lockboxes and vendor the items

I guess for that you need some metrics on what items are bought/sold, what quests are completed, where gold comes from, etc

There will always be people trying to get as much money (real or ingame) with as little resources (time, energy) as possibly needed.
I really don't know how you could prevent people having accounts full of gold caped characters at some point, even on a blizzlike server.
With customizations that squish or remove gold periodically, I guess.
