I think I'm actually starting to understand this! So I put it in the "base" patch, which means it's overwritten by 1, 2 and 3.
So if I instead put my custom Map.dbc into the patch-enUS-3.MPQ, then it's all good?
Alternatively, I could make my own patch-enUS-4.MPQ and put it there?

Would I just create another empty MPQ (like I did with my patch-4) and then call it patch-enUS-4 and only put my new map.dbc in it?
