what's the goal of the classic branch? i notice that it's not wotlk classic anymore since cata released. is it attempting to keep up with active blizz patches? will it eventually be a seperate build that supports the new client for wotlk?

it would be pretty great to have a modern client that supports high res textures natively without relying on texture patches made by contributors like finsternis or leeviathan and the like. the 3.3.5a 12340 client is quite dated.
