hobby project of mine, still stuck on 1.14 as even with arctium (older one) launcher the 1.15 client doesnt work as im getting hmac mismatch, my assumption was that the arctium is setting the static key incorrectly as it wasnt updated?

is my thinking correct that launchers arent required if seed is known? or is launcher always required as it does other shenanigans

I think I do not understand, is it patching more than the auth seed? Isnt everything more or less static or generated but exchanged during handshake, like challenges or secrets?
