a question of understanding: shouldn't it then be relatively easy to take over transmog? So I mean: adapt and adopt the transmog server files and the transmog client files accordingly. Or am I wrong?

if blizz didnt delete packet handlers and lua functions to send the packets then it should be possible to create your own ui (because they for sure deleted that)
