Hey thanks, I had seen this. I dont believe the full documentation for "exp" is helpful for my question: "The expansion table the creatures health value is taken from. Values are from 0 to 2. (see creature_classlevelstats)" -- do the 0-2 values relate to "expansion" (like classic, tbc, wotlk) and every creature_template tagged with its overall zone (e.g. azeroth, outland, northrend) for easy scaling purposes? So would a creature_template for a mob in azeroth only have a creature_template with exp=0?

no, their physical location is unrelated (mostly matches but doesn't have to, this is especially true in the other direction, northrend npcs can and do have exp=0)
