It only helps if you compile it under Windows and compile the source code from TC under Windows. I use Linux, but I only use this editor to write code. Everything else runs on my Linux server.

I only use Visual Studio as an editor for better code overview instead of a normal text editor. I don't do anything else with it, since compiling and everything else runs under Linux.
