You'r doing exactly the oposite of what a new comer should do mate, you'r trying it out and asking questions along the way, this is completly finne once you have the base set up ready, if i were you I would take a gazilion steps back and start from the wiki page 1 and do it step by step with out skiping any step, if you do that and you have a decent PC with good compile speed you'll have a server running under 1h.
