Well, yeah? But on the same page I don't want to load all NPC on all maps. Hillsbrad is just enough. I mean, if what I posted above would work, then I can check for zone ID and do that. But you said I can flood RAM or world updates - which I don't want to. So I try to understand how to do this carefully.

a few years ago, i evaluated all creatures above a certain waypoint length and manually went through them, slapping setActive on them

so you only load the grid cell of the active npc and from there on it will keep walking when active
