well, the only thing left that I can think of is that your pathing is getting in the way. creatures that are on the ground cannot attack you while in air for example

Right. It's really strange. When I have installed TC in the past, I never had any issues. I was really impressed! I was hoping that this attempt would produce similar results. If there are issues with the cross faction stuff, maybe I'll try a barebones re-install and see how it goes. My only other thought would be that maybe it has something to do with MySQL 8, as my former installs were with MySQL 6 or 7.

mysql should not be a problem here. if creatures refuse to attack you it's either messed up DBC data / bad gm command usage or broken world database
