Really dumb question incoming -- in the server config, there are a selection of directories to specify near the top. src build and data (unless I've missed any?).
What's actually required by the server in these folders? I understand data is the cameras, maps, etc. They each have a folder sitting in there no prob.
I've always run the server where it's built, so the source code is fully present, but I want to cut this down to 'just what i need' and shift it off to a separate device.
TDB in the same folder as the worldserver binary, what's the expectation behind the build and src paths?

CMakeCommand, BuildDirectory, SourceDirectory config options are for overriding the value that was autodetected during build (and is "hardcoded" in your executables)

SourceDirectory is where I should actually place any custom SQL folders then also? In similar fashion to how custom exists in the source code structure?

SourceDirectory is the root of your git clone, custom sqls simply go to SourceDirectory + /sql/custom/ + db_name

Sure - but post build, it's not required to still have a clone of the repo, right?

you dont need all of it, just the sql subdirectory (which is also the largest one of all directories in tc repo)
