Tested directly with docker, still had an issue, however, I am doing a git shallow clone now and building in the dockerfile, effectively replicating the base, and it's not having issues either way. Happy to blame environment on my end was just looking for a lazy solution lol

I would revert the edits, then try to build and see if the error goes away
