It's not like TC's license has achieved much, you have AC which blatently disregarded it, many private-source repacks, many private forks doing whatever they like. But it makes sense to maintain some sense of professionalism with such a large and well used code base.
These licenses are more suited for the real world where there is monetary gain to defend a license
