I didn't say that AC is perfect, TC isn't perfect either... it's still an emulation and not original code from Blizzard. But the fact is that you could take code, test it and then refine and improve it if necessary, but that's not what you want to do. Nobody says that you should copy everything 1:1, but you can look at the source and make small changes to make it more comfortable for TC without having to rewrite it completely.

It's like when you make a draft on the drawing board, it doesn't reflect the final result, but it's a rough approach, that's how you should see it. That's just my personal opinion. Instead of fighting each other, you should work together.

I mean. For the trade off of "more works" seems pretty intense. It just seems like more avoidance for the sake of playthru pserver progression

But emulator definition does not seem remotely correct here. I just think it was a term used and carried over from arcemu to mangos days

I don't speak for others anyway, I'm just saying my personal opinion and how I see it. I can't force anyone to do anything or act against their interests.

I would just be in favor of more openness and not so obstinateness when it comes to sharing sources. Take a more relaxed approach to the whole thing. And if someone thinks it would be illegal to copy it, then I have to say that just making server software + Blizzard property available, which corresponds to the database, for example, isn't entirely legal either, not to mention operating such a server. It was not for nothing that Nelatirus' server was sued and closed back then. Of course they also traded with real money.

Well sure but when there are licensing conflicts, that's absolutely a barrier to collaboration

It'd be one thing if e.g. CMaNGOS and Trinity were to collaborate since they have the same license, but AC is problematic
