I tried it when I read the bug report. I tried to reproduce it and tried different ways to fix it, but the problem seems to be somewhere else, although with a different quest ID it works as I said in the bug report.

So there are conflicts between my point of view and that of the TC team. For example, AC uses a lot of hackfixes to make it work at all.
If someone wants to get the Loremaster achievement, then it is important to have as many quests working as possible. ^^

And AC is a different project entirely

Today, yes, but back then they worked together until there were conflicts over licensing.

You slap a seal tape the bottom of your gas tank to stop the leak so u can get to point B on your trip. Do you think that will continue to hold as time goes on? AC has a reputation of regression consistently

But the fact is that more works for them than for TC. For example, they scripted the starting quest from Dalaran to the airship, which doesn't work for TC. It would be easy to just copy and paste it, but you have to deal with the open source license a bit, which I don't understand anyway, and no one would care if you copied it.

Maybe, but both have their advantages and disadvantages. I'm not saying that they do everything perfectly, but what I'm getting at is that they make more compromises than the TC team in terms of "It works for now"

Sometimes temporarily breaking shit is best for long term goals. Plenty of times I'd just remove code to see what broke on a live environment lol

Well u got several cases on ac where the issue is there but wont be addressed. Procs, orientations being always defaulted to 0, race condition (coding term not race characters), hundreds of force applied spell fixes instead of actually fixing the spell handling directly in the core, and then u got the habitual blink shooting people under terrain that i keep getting dms about
