Roughly speaking, during an arena season, players can create ranked 2v2, 3v3 or 5v5 teams.
Those teams can queue up to arena games. Each team has a rating that defines how "good" they are. So people of somewhat equal rating get matched to fight each other.
Winners of an arena fight gain points, loosers loose points.
An arena saison lasts for, well, as long as you define it. At the end, the teams with the highest ratings get specified rewards: titles, mounts, achievements.
