You can try it. Make some NPCs that move around. Go near them. Observe how they move. Now change your speed to 50 and fly away real quick. Wait some time. And then come back. You'll see, they didn't really move.

I tested it back then with some NPCs at the edge of South Barrens to Thousand Needles. Got some NPCs run waypoints. Teleported myself back to Crossroads, waited a little, and flew back. With x50 flyspeed you can see very well that they are still very close to the last point you left them.

Not sure if it's a bug or not but on relogging client won't show spirit healer location and SMSG_DEATH_RELEASE_LOC isn't sent to the client, not sure if it's suppose to be when logging in dead on 3.3.5 though.
