Am I correct in assuming that I can't just repoint an existing custom client, such as wow-mania, to my own local trinitycore server via the realmlist, and that I need an actual 3.3.5a blizz client with a custom launcher such as Arctium?

3.3.5a blizz client (the old 2010 one) does not require any launchers

Ok - as I don't currently have a copy of the old blizz client - in theory, should I be able to re-point wow-mania's version just by updating the realmlist?

i doubt they modified packet structures so it should be able to connect

Alot of these pserver and modified clients i seen usually have the exe force adjuat the realmlist.wtf to their server. Setting to read only usually crashes but may work with some. Then a few completely changes characters/race/maps so if he does connect he will be having some serious map issues in game

Tbh no clue if this is on of those lua warden injected clients either where they mod the message of the day on the client screen and what not

I'll be honest, I'm not sure what a p-server is. All I know is when they were recruiting, they specifically requested TrinityCore experience, which is what led me here. Learning as I go.
