I started emu back in ~2006. Emulators have definitely come a long way. Sure there's some bugs that have persisted for a long time, but they tend to be pretty trivial or more content based

You can take an out-of-the-box TC and run Blizzlike pretty stable with a few config changes at 1k+ concurrent players and a great play experience. That's a pretty significant feat.

Yes and no. Better hardware helps without a doubt. But TC consumes very little resources really.
