reason is that most devs here use gitextensions so we can quickly help "less capable" users by pointing them "here, click this button"

I guess my point is, if you’re going to instruct people using a GUI, why not use the official one. Those docs were written literally a decade ago. I’m not sure the sudden urge to stay stuck in the past
